OH NOEZ!

It has been about 2 weeks since the last post. Things have been going well since I've been back at my parents. I exercise on the regular again and I'm continuing to drop body fat. However, I believe I am maintaining my body weight. This is to be expected since I've been weight training. I'll check with Sharon my total weight when I see here again after Martin Luther King Jr Day. So with all the holidays now gone, I can really focus on the diet, the routine, and basically this total lifestyle change.
All is fine and dandy, right? Well maybe...
As I work out more and check my body in the mirror as I beast through each set, I notice when I stop to rest, or grab a different set of weights, that my body is well...different.
Now, it's not different in a "DAMN! You lookin' GOOD!" kind of different, but a "eh? That's odd..." kind of different. The infamous loose-skin is starting to take its toll! I figured with all the weight training I've been doing, I was helping prevent this horror! But I guess not. I definitely will be hitting the pool again VERY soon to try and get my cardio on. I've been reading different sites about loose skin and how to avoid or reverse it. I've been reading on muscle mass building too. Now that I've got a good foundation of knowledge I hope to combat this at its core. And speaking of core, my stomach is one thats getting hit pretty hard, as well as the side of my man boobs. Oh the shame!
We'll work through this together. I promise you...

December Update
I saw Sharon today for the follow and things were good. We discussed future long-term goals (Summer 2009), things I've done well, things I need to improve on. All in all though, a very productive and positive meeting.
First off, my goal of achieving 300lbs or less by January 1st still seems very reasonable, if not, I'll be very close to it. My goal for Summer 2009 is to be 270lbs. That'll be an additional 30 lbs after the beginning of the year, or 6 months. That'll be a loss of 5lbs per month. This may not seem too significant, but I plan on getting back into my weight training, so I'm also factoring in the weight mass that I will be gaining.
Things I've done well so far... Well, basically staying focused on eating right. That is first and foremost. Weighed in today at 313.8 lbs. That is the official weigh-in. The Wii is used to just gauge performance, more or less, rather than obtaining actual results. This would mean that since our last meet, I've lost 12.2 lbs from the 326.0 lbs I weighed back in November. So, since October 15, 2008, I've lost a total of 26.4 lbs from just eating right. Hopefully with the weight training, I'll start looking trimmer now.
With that being said, what I need to work on is just that, training. I've missed out on my weekly swimming and anything else that's physically active. I'll be at my parent's house for the next few weeks, so hopefully that'll allow me to go to the pool more often, and use the weights my dad bought me years ago that still look brand-spanking new.
I'm still very pleased with how successful I've been over the past few weeks. I'm still getting new people coming to me stating how I've got them started on a new diet, or taking strides to a better lifestyle. Makes me feel...well, more motivated to stay on track. For those who read this, and you tell me that I helped inspire you some how, I take that to heart because I really do appreciate you all telling me this, as I mentioned, because it helps me stay on my diet. Not even a diet, it is a change of lifestyle!
A friend of mine encouraged me to keep a photo-log of my progression, so I'll post pics of myself on here over the course of my journey to a new, healthier me. If not a weekly update on the pics, most definitely monthly after I see Sharon. I see her the Tuesday after Martin Luther King's Day. Wish me luck!

Another Update! Wii!
Well, it has been some time since I've posted an update, nearly 2 weeks. Honestly, I have not done a thing since then. I missed out on swimming this past Monday and Friday, no cardio, weight training, or even the Wii-Fit! Upsetting isn't it?
With all this being said, it wouldn't be hard to believe that I would've gained some weight. On the flip side though, I believe my metabolism is raging on with every meal I consume. Since the last update, the above has (or has not) happened, in regards to exercising and all. So it was quite shocking when I turned the Wii Fit back on to discover I've lost an additional 8.4 lbs! Amazing right?!
I'm sure my weight loss will, sooner or later, come to a screeching halt. Until then, I'm enjoying my (loosely-based) diet and my (non-existent) work-out plan that has been benefiting me so! I really do need to work out though so I can be straight DIESEL by this time next year.
If you guys were not keeping count, by the way, I'm just a little over 308 lbs. I'll get the official weigh-in though on Thursday, December 18th.

Thanksgiving Weekend Update
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, first and foremost. I know I did. Plenty of food and lots to be thankful for. Especially since a new edition has been added to the crew, Izaac Makoa Escobar.
Back to the topic at hand though, my weight-loss regimine has been teetering on a slippery slope. The past two weeks I have not been sticking to my plan on going to the pool and getting my Michael Phelps on. I feel horrible about it. Also, because of the holiday, I have been eating quite heavily. Between the holiday, my boy coming down from PA, and just the overall temptations, I ate a burger, fries, Cinnabon, and other various goodies I should not have.
My brother did, though, break out his Nintendo Wii and opened up the Wii Fit which I did try out. According to the Wii, I am 318+ lbs. If this is accurate, which I'm sure it is, that would mean I have lost additional weight since the last update. Won't know for sure until I see Sharon again later this month. But the Wii Fit definitely got my heart rate up a bit, and was really fun. I might have to splurge a bit and get one for my Wii.
Well, that is the update for now. I'll try to write more often to keep those of you who are reading. Primarily though, I see this as being more of a journal for myself, haha. Doubt this is being read by anyone.

Follow Up...
Monday, I was supposed to see Sharon again to see how I am doing with the plan we had both agreed on, but she had a family emergency so we rescheduled it for yesterday.
Great news! I stepped on the scale and it read 326.0 lbs! That is a total of 14.2 lbs lost in 4 weeks. My next (personal) goal is to lose another 10 lbs by the time Sharon and I meet again, which will be December 18th. This will pose a challenge seeing how Thanksgiving is right around the corner. But I've been strong-willed and determined so far and I'm sure I'll manage just fine.
My year-end (personal, again) goal is to be as close to or under 300 lbs by January 1st. This means I will have to lose at least an additional 26+ lbs in the next month and a half. I've lost 14 lbs in 4 weeks, so adding some exercise to the plan, hitting 30 lbs in 6 weeks shouldn't be that hard....right?
